Information for Parents and Carers

Helping Your Child Plan Their Future

The EMCCA Careers Hub works with schools, colleges and employers to ensure every young person has access to high-quality, inclusive careers education.

We aim to:

  • Provide students with the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about their future.
  • Showcase a wide range of pathways, from apprenticeships and university to technical education and training.
  • Equip young people with the confidence to take their next step.

As a parent or carer, you play a key role in guiding your child’s journey toward their future career or education path. Knowing about local job opportunities, the skills employers are looking for, and the different pathways available can make a big difference. By staying informed and actively supporting your child, you can help them feel more prepared and open up more opportunities for their future.

Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Collaborative Outreach Partnership

Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Collaborative Outreach Partnership (DANCOP) is a collaboration of universities and colleges throughout our region. We want to make sure you have all the information you need to support your young person through their higher education decision making process.
