Skills and Adult Education

Skills and Adult Education - Adult Skills Fund

Adult Skills Fund

The Adult Skills Fund aims to engage adults and provide the skills and learning they need to progress into, or within, work; or equip them for an apprenticeship or other learning. It enables more flexible tailored programmes of learning to be made available, which may or may not require a qualification, to help eligible learners engage in learning, build confidence, and/or enhance their wellbeing.

Skills Bootcamps

Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses that can last up to 16 weeks and are fully funded through the Department of Education’s National Skills Fund. This forms part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain Skills for Life. Skills Bootcamps give people the opportunity to build up valuable sector-specific skills based on local employer demand and provide a direct path to a job on completion.

Skills and Adult Education - EMCCA Careers Hub

EMCCA Careers Hub

The Careers Hub brings together schools, colleges, employers, and apprenticeship providers in Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. The goal is to make it easier for schools and colleges to improve how they prepare young people for their next steps. Every young person, regardless of their circumstances, deserves the chance to thrive in their educational environment. All young people should be supported to develop the skills, confidence, and connections to make informed and ambitious decisions about their future.
